What We Collect

SlackTone AI processes the message text you submit via the /tone command or message shortcut. Messages are sent to OpenAI for analysis and are not stored by SlackTone AI after the response is delivered.

What We Don't Collect

• We do not store your Slack messages
• We do not read messages you don't explicitly submit for analysis
• We do not share any data with third parties (except OpenAI for processing)
• We do not track individual users

OpenAI Processing

Messages submitted for tone analysis are processed by OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model. OpenAI's API data usage policy applies. Messages sent via the API are not used for model training.

Workspace Data

When you install SlackTone AI, we receive a bot token for your workspace. This token is used solely to respond to /tone commands and is stored securely.

Enterprise (BYOK)

Enterprise customers can bring their own OpenAI API key. In this case, messages are sent directly to OpenAI under your own API agreement — SlackTone never sees them.
